Visually Impairment

YOUR VISIT

A guide strip on the floor will take you from the entrance of the building to the reception desk.

As soon as you arrive, ask for the Practical Guide in large print (Arial 16 font), published each day with the schedules of events and shows. This same Practical Guide is available in very large print (Arial 22 font) and in Braille. The one in Braille is lent on-site but does not contain the schedules of the presentations and films.

All of these guides tell you which items are most accessible to blind and visually impaired people.

THE GARDENS

Before going to the Gardens, ask at Reception for the thermally inflated document “The Gardens in Braille and in Relief” about the Solar System (located on the Chemin du Soleil which is at the beginning of the Allée de l’Infini on the left) and Ariane 1 (located on the Promenade des Objets on the right, starting from the middle of the Allée de l’Infini that leads to the Astralia building).

SHOWS

All of our shows (IMAX, Planetarium and Stellarium) are available with audio description . Ask the agent at the entrance to the room for the translation headset. Consult the schedules of the shows before your visit by downloading the “Ma Cité de l’espace” application.

PRESENTATIONS

Before each presentation, please introduce yourself to the animator. All our presentations have been designed to be accessible to all: everything visual is described by the presenter.

CATERING

The menu of L’Astronaute Restaurant is available in Braille and in large print. Please ask for it. Consult the menus of our catering areas before your visit.
