ESA

The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. Its mission is to develop European space capabilities by ensuring that investments in the space sector benefit citizens.
An intergovernmental organisation created in 1975, it has 22 member states and 2 associate members.

By coordinating the financial and intellectual resources of its members, ESA undertakes programmes and activities beyond what each of these countries could achieve individually. It cooperates in particular with the EU in the implementation of the Galileo and Copernicus programmes, as well as with Eumetsat to develop meteorological missions.

IRAP

IRAP works on the study and understanding of the Universe: the Earth and its space environment, the sun and its planets, the stars and their planetary systems, interstellar space, the galaxies, compact objects, the first stars and the Big Bang.
This is done through observation, modelling and theory and laboratory experiments. With qualified teams in the field of design, construction, integration and operation of instruments on the ground and in space, IRAP is a major hub of instrumentation in astrophysics, at international level. .
It also participates in numerous INSU national observation services.

OMP

Under the supervision of CNRS, the University Toulouse III Paul Sabatier, Météo France, IRD and CNES, the OMP, Observatory of Sciences of the Universe, brings together the Midi-Pyrenees laboratories of sciences of the universe, of the planet and the environment on missions of research, observation, teaching, dissemination of scientific culture and international cooperation.
It brings together six laboratories covering a vast field of research, combining space, airborne and in situ observations, ranging from the study of the Big Bang and the universe to the current functioning of the various envelopes of the Earth, via those of the planets of the solar system.

TOULOUSE III UNIVERSITY – PAUL SABATIER

Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier University is now one of the leading French universities, thanks to its scientific outreach and the diversity of laboratories and training it offers in science, health, sport, technology and engineering.

franceinfo is a channel of Radio France group, a national company whose purpose is to design and programme sound radio broadcasts for which it provides broadcasting facilities through its antennae and digital equipment.
Radio France is made up of seven national channels (France Inter, franceinfo , France Culture, France Bleu, France Musique, FIP and Mouv ‘), as well as forty-four local stations making up the France Bleu network.

FLIGHTWATCHING

Flightwatching is part of this young and dynamic breeding ground which gives the territory of the South-West its competitive edge.
Flightwatching has developed a new computer technology for graphic visualisation of data, unique on the market and awarded a prize by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education.
The technology developed by Flightwatching makes it possible to convert any graphic creation into an interactive web visual, in real time and it can analyse various data streams live.
Flightwatching has developed its activity around aeronautics and space and has already taken part in the temporary exhibition “Astronauts” at Cité de l’Espace.
