ARIANE 6 IN 2023

Ariane 6 will not take off from Kourou for its inaugural flight in 2022. During an interview with the BBC on 13 June, the Director-General of the European Space Agency (ESA), Josef Aschbacher, declared that the new launcher “will fly very soon, in the next year,” therefore 2023. It should be noted that he is saying that Ariane 6 is intended to replace both Ariane 5 and Soyuz (the Russian launcher no longer operates from the Guyana Space Centre following the war in Ukraine).
